CatDV Next-Generation MAM Products And Services

Launch at NAB 2015 (SL5025)

Stratford-upon-Avon, UK, April 7th, 2015 – Square Box Systems (www.squarebox.com), leading developer of digital media asset management (DAM/MAM) systems, will showcase an array of next-generation products during NAB 2015 (booth #SL5025) that broaden the power of media asset management for small, medium and large-scale enterprises, whilst remaining easy-to-use and competitively-priced. Square Box will also launch CatDV Professional Services, a brand new operation enabling customers to leverage optimum workflow performance from their CatDV systems and empowering content owners to repurpose and monetize their assets with even greater ease.

Getting their US technology debuts are: CatDV’s Advanced Panel for Adobe® Premier® Pro CC and CatDV for Adobe Anywhere; CatDV Web 2.1, an intuitive approach to online media asset management; Akomi distribution MAM; Worker 6, the company’s new workflow/automation engine; the powerful Server 7 network-server for collaborative workflow; and the Pegasus Server Option, providing faster searches, plus sophisticated analytics and reporting. The combination of Worker, Server 7 and Pegasus Server Option enable the deployment of CatDV systems in enterprise-scale MAM operations to manage millions of assets.

CatDV Advanced Panel for Adobe Premiere Pro CC

Building on successful integrations with Adobe, the addition of CatDV Advanced Premiere Panel, directly within Adobe Premere Pro CC, delivers a seamless MAM experience for Adobe artists, enabling them to harness CatDV’s powerful search, preview, tracking and media management features.

CatDV for Adobe Anywhere:

Additionally, CatDV for Adobe Anywhere adds the power of CatDV media management to Adobe Anywhere real-time collaborative platform, so that media can be shared and managed by Anywhere productions from within CatDV as well as via Adobe Premiere Pro CC.

CatDV Web 2.1

CatDV Web 2 has already taken CatDV’s original Web Client to a whole new level in assisting content creators and marketers to find and reuse media assets via a clean, modern and simple browser interface. Web 2.1 delivers even more MAM power, with user interface configuration, clip collections, filters, expiring web links and approval workflows, plus the introduction of flexible licensing options.

CatDV with Akomi Distribution MAM

Square Box Systems is the exclusive worldwide sales partner for North Shore Automation’s Akomi distribution MAM – the simple web portal for the secure sharing of selected assets from CatDV MAM systems to large audiences of non-technical users. Whilst CatDV 11 is production-oriented, and CatDV Web 2 shares assets company wide, Akomi distributes media to the very edges of the enterprise and beyond. Akomi is fully-compatible with CatDV systems, and is accessible via browsers, plus leading tablets and cell phones. A new image module, supporting the management and distribution of stills, will be shown.

CatDV Worker 6, Server 7 & Pegasus Server Option

Developing CatDV as an even more compelling option for large-scale, enterprise MAM users, who have to manage huge volumes of assets, many functions have been added to CatDV Worker 6 to make workflow automation/integration more powerful and easier to deploy. New capabilities include 64-bit and Yosemite support, plus FFMPEG for transcodes and proxies. Other systems (DRM, storage systems) can easily update CatDV with automated XML2 and .CDV import. Delivering even more firepower for enterprise deployments, CatDV Server 7 has web-based CatDV configuration, centralised path mapping, more efficient search, and flexible metadata across production (security) groups. The Pegasus Server Option adds Oracle and Microsoft SQL support, plus faster, Google-style searches on MySQL, as well as asset usage reporting and analytics.

CatDV Professional Services

New CatDV Professional Services provide flexible, tailored services to optimise workflow automation in larger-scale deployments. Frequently provided services are now also packaged into cost-effective, downloadable ‘products’, including: popular transcodes (using CatDV Worker and third-party tools), content distribution (to YouTube, etc), system set-up, Final Cut Server migration and a wide range of systems integration support.

CatDV Plays Well With Others – New Technology Integrations Announced

CatDV has expanded the technology integrations that are fundamental to effective media asset management. Along with the CatDV Advanced Panel for Adobe, the latest third-party integrations include YouTube, Vimeo, Aspera and Autodesk Smoke, plus plug-ins for Xendata and GB Labs archive systems, which streamline the communication and updating of assets in archival workflows.
