An asset can appear more than once in CatDV, for example in different catalogs for different productions.

If the underlying file on storage is archived, the Archive Additions will update all assets with a matching CatDV Media Path so that all users can understand why an asset has gone off-line.

For other assets the status history is updated on matching clips. This means the user is able to find the original referenced clip and restore whenever necessary. Below is an example of an asset with a matching clip path, which has undergone backup. The comment ‘Due to 3423’ identifies the archive instruction stored in CatDV (arc_job above).
